Pastor Bill N. Zaydan was born and raised in the Middle East between Kuwait and Lebanon. In 1979, during the Lebanese civil war, he migrated to Australia with his family. In 2017, he accepted his current position as the senior pastor of the Arabic Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.

 

Bill accepted Christ at seventeen. He is a humble and gifted servant of God whose ultimate desire is to do the will of God. His education includes a "Bachelor of Theology" degree from “Sydney Bible Baptist College,” New South Wales (NSW), Australia; “Master of Ministry – Specialization in Biblical Counseling, Pastoral and Church Ministries” from Veritas Baptist College, Lawrenceburg, Indiana; and “Doctor in Ministry – Theology/Apologetics” from Liberty University, Lynchburg, Virginia.

                               
He has been ministering in the gospel field for over 40 years.  He served as an associate pastor under Pastor Richard Hester in Croydon Park, NSW. He started an outreach in Blacktown. Then, he received the reins of the pastorship from Pastor Hester in 1994. After several spurts of growth, in 2006, he led the church in an eight-million-dollar building project that was completed in 2011.

 

In 2017, Bill migrated to the United States to further his studies and to serve as pastor of the Arabic Baptist Church in Washington, D.C., which was founded by a true man of God, Pastor Esper Ajaj, who retired the same year and departed to be with the Lord in March 2025. Pastor Zaydan followed in his footsteps and continued the work with similar zeal and vision.

 

Pastor Zaydan is a man who loves God, His Word, and people from all backgrounds. He has respect for many of his acquaintances from diverse religious backgrounds, including Jews, Christians, Muslims, and others.  He enjoys reading and learning whatever he can to share with others.  He loves his wife and enjoys traveling with her, relaxing, and cooking a wide variety of international dishes. He relishes preaching and teaching the Word of God with power, persuasion, and simplicity at every opportunity that avails without compromise, but with meekness and respect. 

 

Pastor Bill says he loves connecting with the young and the old.  The young, because they have so much to gain; the old, because they have so much to share.  He also loves the unchurched because he desires God’s will, a blessed, eternal destiny for them.

 

Pastor Zaydan’s goal and vision for life is that everyone he meets would know the Only One and True God.  “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him” (John 1:18), “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved” (John 3:16).
